Welcome..........and thanks for calling.
I am a sculptor from the North West of England. I have another life as a Mum which runs roughly parallel to my artistic existance. Occasionally, when these worlds collide an artwork is created.
I'm currently studying for a PGDE in order to become a lecturer in FIne Art and I have a small pottery at home. I'd like to say my pottery was a large white room with big windows and state of the art equipment. Actually it's a slightly leaky garage with squirrels nesting in the roof and tools cunningly disguised as kitchen utensils.
My work tends towards the figurative and draws upon recognisable symbols, particularly from memories of childhood. I employ an intentionally naive aesthetic to deny any sense of elitism, however, I'll gladly talk underpinning theory until your ears are numb.
Did I mention I'm a brown belt in Karate? That must make me two types of artist.........at least!
