10k bursaries for Manchesters creative talent : Oct 13, 2010

After a hugely successful first year of Umbro Industries we have funded an eclectic mix of 9 creative projects, from a Rocksteady Tea Party to a limited edition vinyl release from Mind on Fire.

The funding can be for anything from a new documentary or fashion label to a photography or art project. I thought this could be of interest to yourself or your creative networks. We are always looking for exciting and innovative projects to work with in Greater Manchester!

The second year of the project is in full swing and the deadline for this quarters applications is Friday 22nd October. Applications can be submitted to the Umbro Industries website at: http://www.umbroindustries.com  where you can apply for up to £10,000 to develop your project with help from Umbro.Reapplications are always welcomed too!

After the closing date,the best ideas are chosen by our panel of Manchester influencers; including Mike Pickering and Kevin Cummins, the finalists then pitch their idea to the panel in a hope of gaining some funding.
