    Students and graduates can visit the University’s Careers & Employability team for careers advice and to find out about the wealth of services available to support your career aspirations.

    Everyone is welcome to meet the short course team and find out about the exciting range of courses that the University can offer students or professionals for their professional development and training.
  • Wine tasting and refreshments
    The Egg café will be open for the duration of the event (2-9pm). There will be a wine tasting session from 5.30 - 6.30pm with tasting cards and staff to serve and discuss the wine selection. From 5.30pm, there will be wine and fruit juice served by the Creative Hive team. The Wine and refreshments for the event are sponsored by local Design Agency Carbon Creative. Nearby Lime Restaurant and Bar are also offering event attendees 20% off all food and Wagamama are offering guests a chance to win free noodles. To enter the prize draw, please fill in this quick feedback form.

    Managing director of an on-line fashion company based on Salford Quays. Collette will tell her story from fashion designer to the trials and tribulations of running a fashion Boutique.

    Adam is Production Director for MI Studio, a successful 3D games, brand and architecture company based in Manchester. Adam will to tell his story and present some amazing industry 3D work from films to architecture and games.

    Teresa explores the space between sculpture, performance and theatre, combining silent story telling with response to the site. Recent work with the Corvid family of birds looks at ideas around the subject of knowledge, storytelling, fear and protection.

    Aleksej talks about the lessons learned from leading the Search and Social Media Marketing course and other digital research projects that cross boundaries between academia, industry and the digital.

    MD of this award winning company, Tina presents the story of how Found have been able to help UK companies boost their popularity and sales using creative collaborations.

    Oliver is an artist, lyricist and poet from Bolton. He lives, works and records in Liverpool and Manchester. Olivers poems are taken from his collection, 'Aviary on Fire'.

    Founder of Lets Go Global, a creative arts & media organisation based in MediaCityUK. Karen will tell the story of the Loop the Loop festival at Salford quays 19 May.

    Technical Director of Salford University's Centre for Virtual Environments John will tell the story of the Octave, which is a state of the art immersive 3D environment that is used for many exciting applications.

    A Music and Visual Arts live composition featuring Diego Prato on guitar, Arron Bell(bass), Joe Luckin(drums), Harry Harris(visual art)
  • Synæsphere
    Adam Hart presents a computer-generated soundscape - the audible and visual elements of this installation are controlled by the same algorithmic processes, and the viewer/listener becomes transfixed at the point where the two meet, resulting in a strangely relaxing audiovisual environment

    A live drawing performance of a multitude of marks formed in response to a live musical performance by Naomi Kendrick, David Birchill and Dan Bridgewood Hill.

    Sometimes a landscape is the only visual representation in a memory despite the human story behind it.
    Paul J. Abbott performs a collection of dark and intimate portraits for voice and live electronics is based on such memories.

    Alex is a graduate of Paul McCartney's Institute of Performing Arts. After winning many accolades and fans around the UK, Alex performs songs from his new EP and more to MediaCityUK.
  • The Feast
    Dr. Richard Talbot presents a live interactive performance. The audience are invited to be guests at a grotesque banquet which celebrates the excesses and indulgences of a party. The Feast can be seen below from a previous performance.

    Andrew Brooks is a photographer and digital artist whose creative process often captures hundreds of images to create a complete work. This installation will allow you to use gestures to zoom into some of Andrew's amazing images to find the story within a picture, within a picture.

    Bring your mp3 player, Ben Thompson presents ViDeoMuSiC, which is a re-design of the music video medium. This installation is about the individual and their connection to music

    Samantha Vickerage, Natasha McNicholas and Kate Daley deliver an immersive, cinematic experience through the use of soundscapes, video art and human touch. Inspired by a day trip to Blackpool, the installation explores towns, languages, cultures, and the British seaside.
